Yep. I am a noob. Oxygen sensor question
Hi. New to the Forum. And I did search but still a little confused. I have a 01 TT Roadster 225hp Quattro. Have Engine code P0138, which I understand to be the Rear Oxygen sensor. That is the only code. I understand that there are different sensors depending on the Vin but not sure I am reading the vin right to order the right one. Also, is there a diagram to show location, I know it is after the Cat. Is it wise to go universal or get the exact oem one. Have read conflicting info on it.
Lastly, I have read that there are VW ones that do the same job for less $$$ but the cord is longer. Am I on the right page here or completely off base. Any assistance would be great. Thanks in advance.
I have had a lot of cars in the past and this is the first time I have had to deal with multiple options in a O2 sensor so being cautious I don't order the wrong thing.
