Default Zaino questions

So in the pic I just posted, I had just did the entire Zaino process. Incl. clay bar and Z5 and both leather treatments. well, everytime I went to remove the z5 and z2, it was tough as hell to remove. I expected it to simply wipe off. I was buffing the hell out of it to remove it. I think it wasn't dry enough, but I waited like 2 hrs. 75 deg and sunny, low humidity. Didn't think I put much on. I could barely see it. Any insight?

Something wrong here; Zaino usually just comes right off. One of its advantages.

Default I usually only leave it on for 30 minutes and it wipes off easily

Remember, if you take your time applying it it will take a few minutes, so 30 minutes wait (sweat tea in the shade) is usually enough. Maybe you left it on too long? (I'm not sure if that's possible.) I know that if I miss a spot it is hard to get off a day or two later. I've left it on overnight once (yup... got rained on in the middle of the job) and it came right off the next morning.

Hope this helps.

Default It may not have dried.

Zaino should come off easily and needs virtually no buffing at all. When dry there is a slight white powder look. If this wasn't the case, then it wasn't dry (for whatever reason).

I "Zaino" almost every weekend. Sometimes it dries in an hour. But, once when it was extremely humid, I let it sit overnight because I had started in the evening.

Don't give up--you will love the results.

But he says he left it on for 2 hours! That seems long enough???

Depends on the humidity--maybe he's from Seattle?

Default He said "like 2hrs" 75 degrees and sunny and low humidity... figured that

that would mean low humidity. :-)

Default Yup, St. Louis is usually VERY humid, but yesterday was very dry. I'm frustrated.

The end result looks good, and you can't tell in the pics, but I see uneven waxing when I look at it. Like it was smeared. In the Zaino "How To" area, Sal says that if it's not dry then it'll smear. I guess I put on too much, but there's barely anything there at all. Think I'll give Sal a call.

Frustrated Big Mark

What did you use to apply? Did you put Z6 on the applicator before using it?

Default Sure did. Everything by the book. One thing I didn't do...

I didn't wait 24 hours before putting on the z2. the Zaino "Tips and Tricks" area says to do so. Did the dish soap, then clay, then zaino wash and then did z5. It came off easier than the z2, but still not super easily. Then z6, and then z2. Waited 2 hours, and still hard to remove. Do you wait 24 hrs between coats of z2 and/or z5? I have to drive my car, so I cant have it out of commission for five days to wax it. Still confused and frustrated.
