Default APR Stage 3 on DSG! Vid Inside!

I had the occasion to make a quick video in our Audi A3 DSG Stage 3 development car. I thought TT owner's might like to see it as well since the TT and A3 have the same 2.0T FSI engine and DSG transmission. I hope everyone enjoys!

2007 A3 DSG APR Stage 3 and Sport Exhaust, Stock Conti's on Stock 5 spoke wheels, sport springs. 382hp/334lbft

Default One thing i noticed on the power figures...

You are getting more power out of a Mk1 TT 225 than the 2.0s when both are at stage 3. Considerable amount of torque difference. And the 2.0 including fuel pump is priced higher.
Are those power specs including the fuel pump?

Default There's been some debate and some discussion regarding the 16v

head on the 2.0T's and the 20v head on the 1.8T's. It seems that the 20v swallows alot more air at lower rpm's and there is your torque difference. Its the same turbo on both applications but if you turn up the boost at spool up, you'll get compressor surge on the 2.0T whereas you won't on the 1.8T.

The 2.0T Stage 3 FSI is at 20psi and the TT 225 Stage 3 is at 24-26psi.

The 2.0T is much torquier off boost than the 1.8T could ever dream of and therefore drivability around town with the 2.0T Stage 3 is much improved over 1.8T apps.

We offer the 2.0T FSI Stage 3 with or without our intercooler or FSI Fuel Pump. The Fuel Pump is very much a requirement but some peeps may have purchased it separately. You can use our Stage 3 without an intercooler upgrade but you will experience heat soak very quickly and the over longevity of your engine may suffer running at higher intake air temps all the time.

Default and also, with our TT 225 my best 1/4 mile time...

was 12.64 with a 1.8xx 60' where as GTi owner's of our Stage 3 are down to 12.54 with a 2.0xx 60'. I can't wait to get a Stage 3 on the upcoming TT-S and I should be able to hit low 12's.

Default Seems to have very little trouble getting the power to the ground.

Anything other that proper throttle application done to prevent wheel spin?

no throttle modulation whatsoever, one pull is part throttle, everything else in the vid is matted.

Default Why is that? Always seems like the TT puts down crappier 1/4 times

not that 12.64 is slow, but to be caught and passed by GTi is bad. my only thoughts are the short gears

Default I meant the TT 225 Stage 3 vs. 2.0T FSI GTi Stage 3, on the 1.8T...

our TT 225 Stage 3 will run the best times in comparo to any other Stage 3 or 3+ we offer for the 1.8T.

In order of fastest to slowest in the 1/4 for APR Stage 3's:

1. S4 450hp
2. 2.0T 382hp
3. 1.8T 225 396hp
4. 180 hp 1.8T 340hp
5. A4 1.8T 334hp
