Replace ECU - reprogramming?
2008 TT 3.2L Coupe, 6-spd manual
My mechanic tells me that part of my ECU is telling injector 3 to stay open (after it warms up a bit) so it runs really roughly.
Audi Canada apparently wants $3000 for a new ECU, but there are quite a few around (thank you, car-part.com) on the used market for $250 USD or less.
However, this needs reprogramming to change the VIN to mine, right? Any other things to be concerned about? Or where to send to get it done?
Or even to get the old one fixed?
I had seen "audiecu.com" on a Google search, but wouldn't mind some recommendations from people who have been through this. Thanks, all!
