Android Auto question

Does anyone use Android Auto? If so, are you able to control the interface using the steering wheel controls? Or do you have to use the main control **** on the console?

I have an S5 Sportback -- not a TT -- but I believe that the only difference is that Android Auto is shown on the Virtual Cockpit display. The controls are the same, and use the central MMI **** as primary control for Android Auto.

Yes, apparently AA only uses the main rotary **** as its interface. With CarPlay I can use the steering wheel controls to switch apps and make selections. Interesting.

On my '18 TT RS I primarily use the steering controls. The only thing you need the main **** for is to select the feature you want to use (maps/music/etc). The steering wheel can control the interface beyond that. I use it all the time and it works well.
