Airbag Control module incorrectly Coded, can i recode with same code?
Hi,
Got some problems with the airbags on my -00 A3 TsQ, the airbag-light goes on (sporadic) and VAG-COM says "01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded 35-10 --- Intermittent" followed by a "00656 - Seat occupied sensor: Passenger side (G128) 35-10 --- Intermittent". How can it all of a sudden be incorrect coded, can it be that a faulty sensor gives the CM a brainmelt? Can I just reencode with the same software coding?

That's most likely a wiring problem.
Modules do not generally recode themselves on their own (in fact, I've never heard of it happening), but according to the Bentley CD, "01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded 35-10 --- Intermittent" can point to wiring problem.
