AUDI A3 - LAMBDA / CAT PROBLEM
Hi.
I have an Audi A3 1.6 (AVU) in the UK.
I've only had it a short while but its been running well,
I recently used some Audi Fuel additive. I have the part number somewhere. Although Audi sold it to me out of date. (March 03) I also put too much in.
Erratic Idle when cold was sorted. (so it seemed)
But the other day when starting the engine it sounds quite rough and jumps up and down, whilst doing this a really bad egg smell was coming from the car. CAT??
Looking into vag com I have somthing about lambda heating circut. I will post back with exactly what it is.
What do you people suggest?
Is decat a good or bad idea?

Rotten egg smell is from sulfur in the fuel or additive. Any faults(check eng light)
Run the tank empty then fill it up with some
good gas and see how it works if there is no check eng light (flashing or otherwise)
