cluster recodeing
Has anybody ever tried (successfully!!) to replace an immob2 cluster with an immob3 one? I have a 1998 A3 and have a cluster out of an 2000 S3 that I'd like to fit if possible. There are a few wires that needed changing, which I did and everything seemed to work fine apart from the immobiliser of course. It was at this point I found out that the immob was slightly different too. Will the procedure work the same using the SKC/Immo_identr etc or will it fail to comunicate totally? Thanks.
