Default Code 18010 - NEED HELP

a few days ago, i had a professional wire in a turbo timer... he took 2 hours and ended up looking like a really clean install. The other day i scanned with VAG COM and i have 18010 coded- Low voltage terminal 30, bank 1 .... how can this be fixed? blown fuse or bad wiring? I never had this code before, and now my car went from running rich to running lean... NEED some help. not to mention my air/fuel is way off.

2001 Audi TT
Mods: GIAC X software, Custom Exhaust (no cat), Short ram intake (far from MAF), Forge 007.

Default ok, slow down a bit here......

First off, what module is storing this code? Is there a light on? Is there a noticeable problem? Have you attempted to reset the code? Can you post a complete auto-scan?

When you scan with VAG-COM, the module that is throwing the code is listed in the information shown with the DTC. Bracketracer is asking you which module in the car threw the code? He is asking you to copy and paste the results of the scan here so we might be able to assist you. So far all we know is that you have an 18010 code and you drive a 2001 Audi TT. We need more info to help you. Please perform an autoscan of the car and post the entire results for us to see.

Default ok, step by step here......

1) open vag-com
2) click the Auto-Scan button
3) choose your chassis type. in your case, it's 8N - Audi TT
4) click the start button. the autoscan will take a couple of minutes
5) when it's done, click the copy button
6) reply to this post
7) in the body of your post, hit ctrl-v to paste results
8) click post reply

again, we still don't have a clue as to the following:
1) is there a check engine light on
2) if so, have you attempted to clear it
3) if so, does it come back
4) is there a noticeable problem with the car

also:
1) why did you gut the cat? you won't see appreciable power gains, and you will also most likely see a rear oxygen sensor code from now on.
2) you say your car is running lean. what are the indicators of such? what do your fuel trim numbers look like? Have you checked for vacuum/boost leaks?
3) as explained in the Vag-com forum FAQ:

<i>When posting questions related to a problem you are having with a particular car, always state the exact make/model/year/engine of the car you are having a problem with. Also state any modifications you have made to the car. Incomplete information will often get you no answer, or worse yet, the wrong answer.

When posting questions involving trouble codes, post the complete code(s), and the text that comes with them. Do not omit anything, and don't drop any digits, not even a leading zero! Make sure to mention which controller (Engine, ABS, etc.) had the fault code(s). VAG codes are 5 digit numbers, unlike Generic OBD-II P-Codes, which are the letter P followed by four numbers. If you have a diagnostics question relating to VAG-COM or one of the factory tools (VAG-1551, VAS-5052, etc.), feel free to post it here. If you have a diagnostics question relating to an Autozone scan, it should be posted in the AudiWorld Autozone Forum ;-) or in a forum relating to your specific vehicle or engine. Any posts that do not pertain to VAG-COM or VAG diagnostics will be locked or moved by moderators.</i>

actually... i have a VAG-305 which is the handheld device, so what i sent you is basically all it tells me too. i have erased the codes last night and will scan it shortly again. the battery indicator on my turbo timer stays around 13.7 or 13.8 most of the time, without headlights or any other thing on. I had a german specialist who builds noble m400's look at it and he said that it was running rich. I installed turbo timer and N75 H valve, and now i get the error code (which i will get for you later) saying to check fuel trim- running lean. No Boost leaks that i'm aware of. if i put the Cat back on i will gain power? yes i want to do that to put the 02 back on, ridding me of the CEL. Also i had Stage 6 motorsports dyno the car. I have print outs that show my air/fuel taking a nap between 3600 and 5200rpms and then coming back to life. boost starts at 17.5 and ends at about 9psi. 190hp. and 220 ft-Ibs. torque is what it said.

Does having a Cat produce more power then being "cat-less"?
