Error Codes Help:Warm Up Catalyst (Both Banks) Efficiency Below Threshold
This is the second time this code has popped up this week. The first time it was only Bank 2, this time it is both banks.
The CEL came back after about 80 miles (mostly highway).
From Searching the archives, I am seeing posts that it could be either the O2 Sensors or the Cats.
Or, could this be caused by something else?
Anyone know for sure how to tell what it is? I just passed 70K miles when I got the first code. I've read, in other posts, about a 80K Mile Emissions waranty??? Is this true? Would it only cover the cats, or would it cover O2s also?
Obviously, the onlyway the car is going to a dealer is if the work is covered by a waranty, otherwise I'll take it to an Indy shop.
Any information you might have on this would be very helpful.

in most cases, the cats are covered by the Fed. emissions warranty....
which goes to 8 years/80k miles, however, it's likely that you'll run into problems given the list of mods in your sig.
So, the question is....have you monitored blocks 41 and 42 to check the condition of your rear O2 heaters. Also, a basic setting check on block 36 should show you the condition of the sensors themselves.
And finally, what are the conversion values shown in blocks 46 and 47, field #3 when you run a cat diagnosis?
