Just to preface, the rear-left lock never has worked consistently by remote or by driver-side switch. Whenever it failed to work in the past, I would just manually push it down.

Later, all of my locks started behaving erratically with the remote. Sometimes they would work, other times not. The alarm would not arm itself unless I pressed lock on remote several times. Same when unlocking/disarming. After replacing remote battery, same thing, with the 00955 code popping up continually after being cleared. I figured it was just a remote issue, so started using the key to manually lock/unlock doors. I still had to turn the key twice to get the alarm to arm.

This seemed to do the trick until one day the key got stuck. I was a little too forceful and broke the lock in trying to get the key loose. Now my car seems possessed. The windows and locks go up and down at random times with the ignition on. With the ignition off, the windows always roll down and stay down and the car unlocks itself.

When locking the doors from driver-side switch, the driver-side lock pops back up again. This also happens if I manually push it down, though I have gotten it to stay down for at least a few minutes. Ultimately, it will unlock itself again with the rest of the locks. This was the rear-left lock behavior in the past.

Obviously I will need to replace the driver-side lock I busted, but does anyone have any ideas on what may have been causing the lock problems before I busted the lock. The window behavior really has me scratching my head. It's like that vw car noise music commercial, but in a nightmare.
