Lap Timer & MMI 3G installed
I just had to have the boost and oil temperature indication. I didn't care at all for the lap time.
See my long coding:

Two questions:
1) I've ticked Bit 3 "Lap Timer active" but while the lap timer works there is no boost or oil indication
I also tried a mmi restart, didn't help.2) While I'm not sure about key warning (my car warns me when the key is not in car/etc., I have advance key) I'm 100% sure my car has mmi 3g with hd nav. Why aren't Bit 6 and Bit 7 Enabled? By clicking do it, without these options ticked have I overriden and disabled something I shouldn't?
Thanks!

As far as I understand this you did not and mistakenly interpreted the linked image that the lap timer would enable both, which it doesn't.
My reasoning was that the lap timer was used on track so the driver also keeps an eye on boost/oil temp.
So is there another coding for the boost/oil temp? I know the sensors are in the car and I know the software is already there (see pic I think it was from an A6) so there must be a way to enable this.

hankoman, what a relief. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Is "bit 7" disabled on yours as well and do you Advance Key? Needle Sweep is certainly one of the coolest things you can do with vcds and it is first to do on my list after the warranty runs out. My dealer is old fashioned and the dials are too in your face to miss them. He won't notice the other mods.
My mind was telling me to hit the "Cancel" button as well but at the same time I was looking at the photo of the boost indicator and the flesh (hand) was too weak. I clicked the "Do it" instead.
