new coding won't save...
Hello,
I'm having some trouble getting new codes that I enter to save properly. Specifically, I'm coding a Symphony II+ radio and when I try to recode it looks like it is saving...but when it reconnects, the coding has reverted back to the default stock code. Is there a procedure I'm forgetting in the software?
Or...the more likely case...is it my computer set-up...I'm running Windows XP through the newest version of Parallels Desktop for Mac. I know there have been some issues with Parallels but from what I had read, VAG-COM worked OK with the newest version.
Just wondering if anyone can think of anything else before I start the process of installing a Boot Camp partition just to try to fix this problem.

Re: Post the related part from an Auto-Scan (part number, coding etc.) and you desired coding.
I can't remember the part number (and I would go check with an auto-scan but the car is far away at the moment) but it's a symphony II+ radio in a 2007 3.2L A4 Quattro. I select the radio control module in the VAG-COM software, then select "Coding", then change the code from 0610112 to 0610111 - changing the region from North America to Europe. (I'm in Europe and hoping to changing the FM frequency interval from only odd tenths like 98.1, 98.3, 98.5, etc... to every tenth...so I can access the station 98.6, for example). Anyway, after clicking "Do it!" the radio restarts and it looks like the system has registered...but a couple seconds later and as soon as I can get into the control module again, the original 0610112 code is there again.
