PLEASE HELP - Turning on code P0420

So My friend has a repair shop that I brought my 02 Audi allroad 2.7 T to for an emissions sticker. The car was throwing 5 code faults and in order to pass emissions he reset the computer and cleared all codes. Perfect or was it!!! After passing the emitions test he noticed that I had 79,540 miles and comented that clearing the P0420 cat code was probably not in my best interest as it would have been covered under warrenty. I'm hopeing the code comes back on in the next 300 or so miles but I'm a little wearry! Already put 200 miles on it and code has not come back on! Anyting I can do to "lubricate" the issue?

Thanks for all your input in advanced! I've obviously found many articles related to clearing the P0420 code but no situations where someone was trying to get this code to trip!

With VCDS you can run all of the self tests without driving the vehicle. If the converters are faulty, they should fail the test and set your faults.
