Default Problems with A4

Since I somehow abandoned my previous posts, I got few more problems.

1. in (46) I changed cluster to follow any non-USA format and as a result I will be unable to unlock all the doors using internal unlock switch (only trunk will unlock) code: 03301
I wanted to use GB pattern because it gives me 24h clock

2. needles and ranges on cluster. (17,ch19) I am unable to get both ranges and needles to work on lights OFF, I can use mode 1 and 2, but 3 won't work.

3. Seatbelts, I get no seatbelt chime/whine/icon/ w/e in the cluster when I don't have seatbelts on, I looked around and everything seemed fine. There is so much code and I don't know what to post here. I checked in airbag section and it detects that seatbelts engage.

Please tell me what code you need to see (and where to find it) so I will post it later next day.

As always thanks for Your continued help.

Default Model year? ....

did you press the button twice? Locks are controlled by the central convienience module.

The coding is differrent for different model years.

Default To get the seat belt warning,

try changing the last digit of the instrument cluster coding from 1 to 3.

I think your central convenience module is dodgy. It's clearly coded for "No SAFE-function USA only" yet it bitches that it can't De-Safe. I moght try clearing the fault codes from that module, and possibly cold-booting it.

Default Cold boot means removing all power for a while.

Central convenience module is never really powered down, even with the ignition off.

There's several way to accomplish that. Disconnecting the battery for a while, pulling the relevant fuses, or disconnecting the module from the car. I'd probably disconnect the battery.
