which vag com to buy for my car?

hi,i was browsing on ebay and just don't seem to know what vag come to buy? i have 2000 audi tt 1.8t quattro. and i have a laptop that could take usb..so do i just get one with a usb interface which would be i think the 409. any feedbacks would be great...thank you.

We don't sell anything on EBay. If you purchase a dumb interface there, it would most likely be compatible with release 409. If it works, you can purchase a VAG-COM Software License directly off us for $99.00.

You would need the HEX-USB+CAN Interface.

Using VCDS to scan the vehicle would not void warranty. If you have any specific modifications or questions related to the vehicle please and VCDS, please let us know what you have in mind.

If you purchased the HEX-USB+CAN Interface, the software can be installed in as many PCs as you wish, no activation codes required. The interface must be connected to the PC in order to scan a vehicle.

The current VCDS Release version fully supports Windows 7 Vista and Windows 7 as mentioned here: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/faq_1.html#1.14
