1983 URQ project (almost completed) $55,000
I am selling my almost finished project of a 1983 Original UR Quattro.
This rust free car has a full and documented service history from day 1, It has most if not all the original parts to make stock again if desired (not sure why you might want to do that).
The car is accident and damage free and has had new factory original color redone completely for stone chips, tiny dings and tree sap damage only.
All before and after pictures are available and it was excellent work by the professional body shop. Interior completely redone in period correct Recaro seats, rears re-finished, new Alcantara roof liner and door cards etc.
Just an awesome car and a growing investment. These cars now get (in unrestored and rusty condition) $50k on the market and prices have more than doubled in the last 7 years.
This historically important car that started the entire 4 wheel drive movement in a passenger vehicles and was really made famous in the Group B rally days.
The car is clean, clean clean. and I do not believe you will see another one in this condition very often.
The last URQ I sold that came close was sold to a California guy 10+ years ago by me, and he still drives it to this day.
When I take this to local car events and shows it gets more attention and love than my McLaren does : /
Needs either new seal on steering rack or a new remanufactured rack at $400. ( but still drivable today)
If you are a hands-on Car guy or mechanic you should befriend someone that knows this era of cars to be your mentor or simply get them to take care of it going forward, but its very fast and smooth for its age indeed.
Great fun to drive and a real head turner
