Default 2003 RS6 - Newer Trans - New Suspension - New Tires - Fully Serviced & Ready

DRIVES LIKE NEW

Just $14.9k, only 116,500 miles, barely 7k a year.

Low price for a quick sale. Looking for a good home and steward to become the new owner.

Mugello Blue on Ash/ivory interior.

4.2 V8 40V BiTurbo (BCY)
Loaded with all Options:
Sport Exhaust
Carbon Interior Trim
Solar Sunroof
Sunshade package

Over $23,000 invested since 2018 to make it mechanically perfect. Excludes a $9k newer dealer installed transmission with 14K miles. That's over $30K....nearly $60K invested last 5 years. Car is fully caught up with all typical RS6 issues and updates and maintenance addressed.

Everything is done: timing belt and water pump, new turbo’s, EGT’s, O2’s, VVT’s (new camshaft tensioner units), all seals and gaskets and related parts.

New Bilstein shocks and Meyle HD sport front control arms, tierods/boots. New A/C compressor. New Conti DWS 06 tires. (255/40-18 OEM size)

And more - even some 034 bits - pages and pages of invoices.

Work professionally done by Cascade AutoWerkes in the Eugene, Oregon area (see their FB page for pictures). They are an RS6 specialist shop. The owner (me) has a RS6 as well.

This was an Open Checkbook project. There was no intention of selling. No room in the garage, too many cars, owner's wife says it has to go.

Low stress 4.2L 40V v8 makes 450 (stock) to 520 hp (about 540 lb/ft TQ) via included multi stage APR software ($3300) for both engine and transmission. Strong running engine and a perfect shifting transmission that feels like new.

It's fast but still thinking twice on an older car? Besides avoiding big car payments and modern car repair issues consider a few things:
  • NO CARBON cleaning issues due to Direct Injection.
  • NO HPFP fuel system issues.
  • NO intake manifold change over valve issues.
  • NO failed plastic thermostat housings.
  • NO failed plastic Valve Covers
  • NO oil consumption issues
  • NO Timing Chain problems
I mention this due to personal experience servicing cars of all types. Not to bash other sellers, etc. The C5 RS6 is "old" but has proven itself trouble free in ways modern cars cannot due to highly sensitive designs and cost cutting (plastic).

The RS6 is truly an Exotic yet the engine shares most common service parts with the A6/S6 4.2. Easy to source and very reasonably priced. Proven engines known to extremely durable and long lasting. Gumpert used the same engine in their $1M Apollo super car, with output reaching 800hp. It set the Nurburgring lap record. The engine has heritage as it was designed by Cosworth. And racing history beating everything from America on their own turf (2004 GT Speed champ) driven by Randy Pobst. He is Motor Trends key test driver.

The No So Perfect aspects of this car:
Lower front left air dam is broken. Scheduled for repair. Best price is now beforehand. The seats are rough. Drivers bolster is heavily worn thru. Passenger seat has a repair on the front seat cushion. Currently looking at having it repaired. Other than that the interior is in good shape, no surprises.
There's a squeaky pulley type noise on cold start up. Goes away soon as the coolant gauge moves. No functional issues. The owner told me it has always done this. The only part we did not replace was the power steering pump.

Otherwise the car is fully sorted, reliable and proven. No engine or transmission DTC's. No leaks of any type- better than most cars that are only 5 years old. No surprises undercarriage. No rust issues. No damage. Car can be inspected and tested at the shop. I am happy to show the car in a level of detail that is unheard of from any dealer or private party. This car has nothing to hide and no surprises.

Everything I have used or tried works as it should. The only thing I noticed not working was the drivers reading light. Will pop a new bulb in it.

Comes with VCDS genuine diagnostic cable for the asking price.

Clean and Clear Oregon title. Clean Carfax report. Ready for any road trip. Needs nothing except to be driven.

Plenty of detailed pictures available. Please ask.

pictures available.

I lived in Eugene for years. And before I transported my rs7 to Minnesota I drove it to visit cascade autowerkes upon my friend's reference. I saw shop owner's rs6 there, he took amazing care of his car and he is A car guy So..are you the owner of the shop? Sorry I'm confused
Good luck on your selling, and on mine too. LOL
