18" Width and Offset questions

hey all, just purchased a 99 1.8tq a couple weeks ago and so far ive dropped it 2" using neuspeed sport springs (these suck btw), and im looking at various 18" wheel combos.. i need to know if a 18x8 using a 40mm offset with 225 40 18's will rub with these springs? <br>also, while im here, i need opinions on certain wheels.. team dynamics motorsport anthracite, team dynamics rim2000 in anthracite, technomagnesio nonmag sport wheels in gun grey, ace somethings (looks a little like the bbs rc). theres also the new miller wheels, and maybe even the mak energy. im looking at all these in 18's.. experience with any? or opinions? please post.. <br>now to state the obvious, if i go 17's i could afford wheels like abt and such..<p>help.<br>thanks in advance!

18x8 ET 35 is about right, This is ABT's "New Classic" 18 inches wheel, which made exclusively for Audi. IMHO, 18x8 with offset of 40 mm may reach too far inside the wheelwell and possibly rub the knuckle arm.
