broken plastic lug bolt
I was changing out the tires on my 2000 Audi S4 earlier today and managed to break the plastic lug bolt that comes with the spare tire kit. This part basically screws into the same hole that the lug bolts go into and is used to help hold the tire in place while the rest of the bolts are hand tightened.
Unfortunately, there's nothing to grab onto and I can't figure out a way to remove it.
Any suggestions for how to remove it?

or try using a screw and pliers since you are dealing with plastic

You can purchase a steel wheel hanger from many aftermarket places ECS, Pure Motorsport, Hartmann etc.
to replace the plastic one

Just happened to me today - plastic peg broke at an angle within the partially threaded part. I was able to take the broken end, push it against the part still inserted in the hub and then slowly unscrew the peg while pushing hard to keep the parts together- it helps that I put a bit of lube on the plastic peg before I inserted it.
