Default Proper wheel torque method?...................
Do you tighten lightly and lower car to floor and use torque wrench to tighten to specs or do you do this while wheel is suspended?

and I use a star pattern first - then circle to recheck.

Also recheck a week later.

Correct. Tighten snugly in the air, torque to spec on the ground.

Default I torque them up in the air.
I can't see how having any sort of other forces on the wheel helps you get a correct torque.
