Introducing the New Audi A7

It’s not quite a crossover or a hatchback, but it’s also not a sedan. The two rear doors certain disqualify it from being considered a sports coupe. So just what is an Audi A7? It’s fun. That’s what it is: Fun on Wheels. The A7 is a performance luxury car packed full of tech, and it’s a blast to drive. From the front, it features Audi’s aggressive signature design which is stylistically related to other members of manufacture’s current lineup.

Unique A7 Sportback Profile

Take a walk around to the back and check out that sloping windscreen integrated with the rear deck lid. This body design has room for a driver and up to four passengers making it an acceptable family car, but it also has plenty of personality. Different lighting and entertainment packages customize the appearance and experience for every owner setting this five-seater apart from other bland old grocery getters.

The A7 Space Concept

The unibody construction is an amalgamation of metals and joining techniques. Cold and hot formed steel mix with bost cast and sheet aluminum to produce a lightweight, spacious and rigid frame. Engineers tuned the aerodynamics to direct airflow over the rear spoiler producing up to 110 lbs of downforce at top speed. Occupants enjoy spacious layouts even in the rear seats, and the separate climate zones allow passengers to fine-tune the quality of their personal space.

Power and Performance At All Levels

Audi dropped it’s TFSI 3.0 Liter turbocharged V6 engine into the A7. This power plant delivers 335 horsepower and 369 ft-lbs of torque by matching a 48-volt mini-hybrid motor to the conventional combustion engine. This unique setup is lighter weight, more responsive, and yields higher fuel economy. When combined with the seven-speed automatic transmission and signature Quattro driveline system, the A7 muscles its way across flat open highways and around the narrow two-lane twisties with ease.

Upgrade to the Premium Plus for $72,400 and enjoy improved infotainment, driver assist and trim options. For the fully decked out model, spend $76,300 and cruise around in the Prestige version. This high-end luxury sports sedan has every toy and gizmo you can think of but still earns respect as a pavement crushing performance driver.
