ABT Q8 Creates New Aero and Upgraded Power for the Q8

From Good to Great

By all accounts, the latest Audi Q8 is a pretty amazing vehicle. One ripe with power, style, and supreme comfort. But as always, plenty of folks are going to want more. And that's where German outfitter ABT comes into play with their new, wide variety of upgrades for Audi's flagship SUV. 

Show Vehicle Stunner

Due to be unveiled at this year's Geneva Motor Show, the ABT Q8 display car is based on an Audi Q8 50 TDI. But the first thing you'll notice, of course, is the vehicle's stunning aero package that consists of several components.

Subtle Yet Distinct

Up front, ABT added a new front skirt with blade and air inlet panels. Out back, you'll find a new rear skirt with fins, a rear wing, and ABT emblems. These gloss black add-ons are somewhat subtle, yet give the Q8 a very distinct look.

Nip and Tuck

To give this custom Q8 a bit more of an aggressive stance, ABT adds their own Level Control module that allows greater control over the electronic air suspension. That way, you can really tuck the Q8's body over those attractive 22" ABT Sport GR wheels.

Decisions, Decisions

The new wheels feature a concave base and are finished in either matte or gloss black with diamond polishing, depending on your personal preference. And if you want to go even bigger, you can also opt for the same design in a 23" size.

Power Boost

Thankfully, ABT's package isn't just focused on making the Q8 look better, either. They also offer a bit of a power boost courtesy of a custom Engine Control (AEC) unit. This pumps the 3.0-liter TDI's output from 286 hp up to 330, and improves torque from 442 lb-ft to 479.

Interior Upgrades

ABT extended their own personal touches to the interior as well, including goodies like a carbon fiber shift knob, fancier start/stop button, and door entry lighting that projects the ABT logo onto the ground when you're ready to hop in or out.

Master of Subtlety

Of course, there are plenty of additional interior options, including things like upgraded leather, if you want to really stand out. Altogether, the new ABT Q8 is a very distinct and attractive package that has mastered the art of excellence through subtlety. But truthfully, we wouldn't expect anything less from a company that's been doing this for 120 years.
