2.0 t Weather related power loss
Does anyone else have serious power loss in hot humid weather? Here in PA we have been experiencing our 100% humidity in the 80's like we normally do in August. This is the first summer I've had the car.
I not talking about a little bit, it seriously feels as if the car has no turbo on it at all. Later at night when the sun goes down and it's cool it's more normal, still not as good as when it's below 70 but better.
I have read in some threads about heat soak but I can't believe how bad this is. I have had 3 turbo volvos, a saab, and 2 vw tdi and never had any act like this.
It's actually hard to pull out in traffic because it just seems to not want to go.
No check engine light, changed diverter valve (genuine Audi), coils are new (genuine Audi), plugs have maybe 5,000 miles on them (NGK Laser Platinum), always use 93 fuel.
Runs perfect in cool weather, also seems to get better with highway driving but starts to suck again once you are back in traffic.

VAPOR LOCK: Not saying this is your problem. But could be. Happens to my daughters Ford Focus. Try keeping the tank near full, as dropping below 1/2 to 1/4 could cause the fuel pump to heat up. Gas, particularly a 3/4 to full tank keeps the fuel pump cool.
Again, this may or may not be your problem, but its the exact same symptoms of my daughters. I've told her to keep it near full with Top Tier 93 from Exxon, Texaco, Shell or Chevron.
