White smoke? No one can afford to take old Audis to the dealer. Do you have a good independent Euro shop in your area?

Yea we have a shop called Das
Autohaus but I need to find a replacement head anyway. I guess once I get it all back together I'll keep on trucking

White smoke is water.

I have an 2006 2.0T with 130K miles on it which i have owned since new. Uses a quart of oil every 5k miles
I have an 2011 2.0T with 93K miles on it which I have owned since new. It burned a lot of oil. A quart every 1000 miles. But it was covered under warranty and they replaced the pistons and rings at 88k miles. hasn't burned any oil since.

Cracked valve cover. Mine did the exact same thing. When I punched the gas or was going up a steep hill I would get a huge James Bond smoke screen out my exhaust. The smoke was grayish white. The crack in the valve cover is dumping oil into your turbo intake and causing smoke when turbo kicks in, then the excess oil ends up in your intercoolers. It wouldn't hurt to pull off your valve cover and inspect the underside for a crack.
