Currently in the market for a new set of wheels with an Audi at the top of the list, my last car (IS300) was totaled. Budget is set at ~$8500. After looking my best option is looking like either an A4 or A6 with around ~100k. Im planning on doing a Car Fax and asking about maintenance before committing. What im asking is what should I expect over the next 3-4 years as far as maintenance goes. I purchased my 03 is300 with 109k and ran it until 136k, did regular maintenance, and never had a problem that I couldnt fix. But thats Lexus, I'm asking about audi.

Obviously condition of the car over all is important.. If you're looking at the 2.0TFSI, make sure it's had all of the recalls, belts etc.. not a bad idea to see if the HPFP bucket was replaced. Otherwise, basic maintenance stuff.
