Smart trunk :D
Last night I was at an event to take some photos, and I ran into two old female friends of mine. After the event we walked out together, and, coincidentally, had parked our cars next to each other.
They asked me which car was mine, and I pointed it out. "Wow, that's nice," they said, almost in unison.
Well, to show off a little, I walked up to the back of my car and said "watch this," as I flicked my foot under the rear bumper. The trunk cooperated by opening on cue, eliciting more "Wows" and "that's cool."
Well, I placed my camera bag in the trunk and shut the trunk. Two seconds later, the trunk popped open again. Smiling to the ladies, I shut the trunk again.
Two seconds later, it popped open again ... and again ... and again!
"Well, that's not good," one of them said. By now, my sheepish grin had turned to embarrassment.
Then, all of a sudden, I remembered that I had left my car key inside my camera bag. I reached in and retrieved my key, and was able to shut the trunk this time with no fanfare.
"It won't let you accidentally lock your key in your trunk," I explained to the ladies, whose smiles had returned to their faces.
I proceeded to show them my Virtual Cockpit ... but that's a story for another time.

Haha. I had read it would do that in the manual, nice feature. In my previous A4 I sometimes got scared after loading groceries into the trunk, closing it and hearing CHIRP. I'd think OMG did I leave my keys in the trunk? I started to unlock the car first, then open the trunk so that it didn't auto lock when closing it.

Too bad we didn't get valet keys with our B9s!
