Seems like there is now an app in OBDeleven to enable high beam assist. Haven't tried it yet, but then again I wasn't in a big hurry to code it via Mitchfin's instructions.

haha the coding I provided and the obd eleven app will do the EXACT some thing. Mines just free and you can control what it's doing personally

Just about to pick up A4 P+ quattro, tech, cold weather pkg. Is there anyone in or around the Nashville area that could help me with this?

One question on this - my OBDEleven doesn't have descriptions in coding, so I used the bit editor.

For the first setting the recommendation is for:

09 - Central Electrics-> Coding-> Byte 5->bit 0 & 5 & 6 -> On

Mine already had bit 3 on, so do I leave it on, and only toggle 0, 5, and 6 (meaning I now have 0, 3, 5, and 6 on, for a new hex value of 69)?

No questions on the second setting:

A5 - Front Driver Assist-> Coding-> Byte 21->bit 5-> On

Thanks!

Aaron, I had never done anything like that either and was very worried about bricking my car. I went ahead and took the plunge and couldn't believe how easy that and many other mods were to do using Mitch's instructions.

just check what's in the instructions and leave whatever else at it's default and it should work fine.

I assumed that was the case, and that's what I did. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Many thanks ! I confirm that below instruction work fine with EU model and Xenon lights.

Central Electronics (09) -> Coding -> high_beam_functions -> head_light_assistant

Front Sensor Driver Assistance System (A5) -> Coding -> AFS_coding_Light_Assist -> High_Beam_Assist

Central Electronics (09) -> Coding -> mmi_fla_glw_mxb -> active
