Default Audi A6 c7 wing mirrors with lane assist

Hi guys, I just upgraded my wing mirrors from the standard one to the power folded one and lane assist. I bought the upgrades second hand and got only the mirrors and the modules. But there is a second connector with the mirrors that I don't know where to plug. Do I need extra cables and where do I connect them. The lane assist isnt working.
Secondly I didn't have the power folding option thus my mirror switch don't have it too. If I buy a new power folded switch and replace the existing one will it work automatically or is there anything else I need?

Many thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

What year do you have? Are you talking about Side Assist or Active Lane Assist? If Lane assist, you will probably need extra wiring, a new stalk lever with lane assist and coding to make it work. If you don't have ACC, you will need a camera and associated hardware.

Hi it's a 2012 Audi A6 C7. It's side assist I think as I do not have any cameras. Do I need anything else to activate it as I have one cable from the mirror that I have nowhere to connect on the module.

The mirrors are only one component of side assist. Besides the mirrors, you would need to have two radar sensors in the rear bumper for side assist to operate. Also additional wiring, an A-pillar with on/off switch and coding would need to be done.

For the mirrors to be powered, you would need a new mirror switch and coding. Not sure if the power mirror wiring is already there. Someone else will have to address that.

Hi Sangy,

Did you ever perform this upgrade? I just got a 2017 Premium without side assist and certainly miss it. Would like to know the upgrade process/path etc. Thanks in advance!
