Comma in MMI Distance Values
Hi All,
I have a 2014 Canadian A6 with the MMI set to metric/KMs. I've noticed that whenever distances are displayed in the car (MMI or screen between gauges) I see the values displayed with commas rather than decimals.
For example: 2,3 km instead of 2.3 km
Is this normal? Can I change the setting to show with a decimal?
I tried searching but didn't have any luck.
Thanks!

So when you select miles (which are Imperial units in my book) do you have a comma or a dot for the decimal place indication? I've honestly never changed mine, so I don't know - if you retain the comma then I'd suspect a miscoding on your head unit. If you get a dot for miles and a comma for klicks then that might just be the way it is...

For grins I tried it on the afternoon school run - metric gets commas on the MMI display (but dots in the instrument cluster), while imperial has dots in both. There may be a way to change the commas to dots in the MMI display, but I don't know it either.

Not true. SI does not dictate the use of commas or decimal points, other than to state that neither should be used to separate groups of numbers (eg 1,000,000 should be written as 1 000 000). Typically European and Latin countries use commas in place of decimal points. English countries use decimal points.

Has a play on my UK car last night. Regardless of units or language I get . not , as the separator. Presume which you get is determined by the country code setting which is accessed via VCDS rather than simply the setting within MMI
