Do the Weathertechs extend up under the pedals on the driver's side. I was surprised to find the Audi mats do not, due I'm guessing to unintended acceleration problems on Audi and other makes. The result with the short driver side mat is drips of dirty water/snow melt right onto the carpet.

Depends on what your goal is for the mats - I have two sets. the Cocomats in my signature for Spring / Summer / Fall (much more of an upscale look for non-winter driving) and a more utilitarian Lloyds Northridge Rubber Floor Mats for winter driving

I plan on keeping the car ~7-8 years so am willing to invest some money in maintaining it long term but $2000 on plastic wrap (I'm exaggerating) seems steep.
But would love to here how good you guys think it really is and if its really a good value.
You do not have to get the full front covered (i personally think it is overkill but others disagree). I did the extended front - (more details in my signature) and have been happy with that. I had a similiar set-up on my previous vehicle and had no issues with not having a full hood done in owning that car over 8 years. The areas I had covered in my signature cost 740
