Unclip the metal frame with the little net from the bottom brackets, turn the brackets 90 degree and take them out, pull out the bottom of the compartment and watch for the cable to the socket which is pretty short

Holy smokes!! That worked! now why isn't that documented in the manual!!?? Thanks so much AudiA4B6US!!!

Next dumb question....how do I remove the hot pink housing to access the fuses!!??

There should be tabs on both sides, squeeze it together and it will allow you to lift it up.

Thanks AudiA! I used a small screwdriver and carefully removed. I do notice that there's a clip that you can push and somehow "drop" the entire bank of fuses....not sure what that's all about. I accidentally dropped the bank and had to push up from the bottom to "clip" the bank back in place.
