Default Steering wheel not returning to programmed position

I thought I had seen a previous thread on this issue but cannot seem to find it. Steering wheel always moves up when the door is opened. (This in itself is a little strange, all of my other domestic vehicles moved up after the ignition was off)...I digress, anyway, once I get in the seat, shut the door, hit the ignition button the steering does a little shudder but will not return back to driving position.....at least 20% of time, some days it may be 50%. I have reset the memory button many times, still doesn't fix the issue. Anyone figure this out? My entertainment volume doesn't always go back to the set position either, it seems to want to go to 0 about %20 of the time. That doesn't bother my as much and is probably not related to the steering wheel.

It happens to me sometimes with my 2016.

Have the dealer check it out next time you're in for service.

Seems to be a common issue. Mine also will not lower on occasion until I press the seat memory button. No fault is ever found. Just one of those weird software gremlins I've learned to live with. Not a big deal.

It has never happened to my A6 but on my old Acura RL and my present Acura MDX it is one of the early warning signs of a failing battery, very common symptom.

Mine has been doing it once in awhile since the car was new. So it's not my battery. I suspect it's a software glitch as with other C7 owners that have the issue especially since tapping the seat memory button activates it.
