I'm hoping someone here can guide me. I have an a6 3.0t and have a spare set of 265/35-18 snow tires. They are awesome tires and only have about 1500 miles on them from last season...
With the diameter of wheels used on the c7 and this tire is about 5% smaller in diameter... Would anyone recommend to go ahead and use them? Or just get grid of them?

I ultimately know that's the best idea. I went with the same size tire only because Maryland usually has cold winters but not snowy winters.... That said a large foot print with cold weather compounds would leave me with great handling tires in the winter. They were great... But the new car has huge tires to being with. thanks for your input.

Just wanted to follow up on this thread, and maybe a warning to others... I ended up purchasing Momo Revenge 18x8, 45mm offset low-pressure cast rims. Waited several months for the shipment to come in.
Brought them up to Costco last night to swap summers for winters, only to find that they don't clear the front brakes. Tirerack does advertise 45mm offset as acceptable for this 2015 A6, so I guess there is more to it (backspacing) [disclaimer: I specifically wanted low-pressure cast rims, not gravity cast, as majority of "cheap" rims are, so I ended up not buying these from Tirerack].
Anyway, guess I need spacers now.
