Hello.

As the heading says, I am having problem replacing the front wings on my 2000 model (2001MY) A6.

I have succesfully removed the front bumper, and managed to remove all the screws on the front wing, except for 2 or 3 that are on the lower side, far back.

These screws are closed in by the black list that runs along the lower side of the car, from front to rear wheel arches. And I cant figure out how to remove it.

I have removed a bunch of screws holding it from the underside, and one that was in the front door frame, and also the one all the way to the front. But I still cant seem to be able to remove it.

I am afraid to break anything, so I dont want to use too much force.

As far as I can tell, the list goes into the door frame, and is together with the silver Audi logo on the doorstep.

Can anyone shed some ligth on how to do this ?

I am not a mechanic, far from it, and maybe I took the wrong decission trying to do thi sjob myself....

You have to lift the outer edge "flap" of the plastic sill plate to get to a row of screws holding on the rocker cover.

(SHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its a secret!)

I am glad I started with a parts car, because the instructions I received were to "lift the sill plate" and I started pulling the whole piece off before finding the trick.
