hi i have a audi a6 2004 c5 saloon . my problem is interior light doesnt work when opening passenger door, but works when opening the other 3 doors ? i cant see any rubber type buttons /switch on edge of the door so could this be the door lock or is there a solution to this that anybody knows???? ps passenger door hardly opened in months

Lucky its just passenger side. I lost both front doors. The switch is in the latch itself, there's a thread on a repair on one of these forums. I would change the whole assembly. My tech. has told me those switches fail regularly.

yes it is a design flaw of the system. They use a cam to " rolll over" the switch depressing it . The switch is designed as a push switch. The roll over eventually wears out the plunger. Get a new assembly.
