Hi Everyone!

This is my first post and I am looking for some help for my Audi A6 2.0T C6 2009.

The problems are with the Trip Tronic not working and the MMI Screen and controls completely dead!

The fuse for the communication module keeps blowing as soon as one is fitted.

If any one can help to let me know where to start from would be great!

Since you mention the fuse blowing whenever it is replaced, your first goal is to find the short circuit and fix it. Obviously, a wiring diagram will be of help, as at least then you will be able to figure out where the power is going.

The most common culprits are pinched wires, however, if a module goes bad, it could also create an overload/high-current issue.

A short-to-ground vs. an overload condition _may_ be able to be diagnosed with an ohmmeter. Measure the resistance on the load side of the breaker. If zero, its most likely a pinched wire somewhere (or insulated wire worn through). If the resistance is higher, you may be looking at a failed component, and in that case, you would want to systematically disconnect each of the devices powered by that circuit, and re-check the resistance, looking for a change to a higher reading.

Not exactly foolproof, though, as some devices have very little resistance on their own, until powered up. (Incandescent light bulbs as an example).
