Difference Between A7, S7, RS7
#11
It was noted in a recent thread that the RS7 does not have a spare tire. That would be a significant negative for some on a daily driver. If you are not a big fan of an aggressive engine note the RS7 might be tiresome, based on some videos I have heard. And depending where you drive, the extra .3 seconds 0-60 might not get much workout.
--I looked at the RS7 yesterday at a dealer and it does have a spare tire. The trunk is huge, to say the least, especially for a car that goes 0-60 in under 4 seconds. Also, there is a .7 second difference between the S7 and RS7.

I don't believe any year of RS7 comes standard or were there any option to have a spear tire. Just curious what year was the RS7 u saw with a spear tire and was it a used car. I believe the spear tire was installed aftermarket by previous owner.

pics of the 2017 rs7??
I have a 2017 RS7 and it does not come standard with a spear tire. I had to purchase them online and install them after purchase of the car.

I have the s7 and drove the a7 before buying. The a7 was great and all but the combination of a more pedestrian interior, exterior, and performance the s7 is the way to go. It feels like your driving something special, when you approach the car you see the v8T badge, quad exhausts, and aluminum mirrors (if you don't get the black optics package). Then when you enter, you have the quilted seats that look so damn cool. Fire up that v8 and you know this car is made to go fast. Also I believe it gets VERY similar gas mileage when compared to the a7 and the air suspension enables the car to corner somewhat flat but at the press of a button ride like you're on a cloud. So all together if it were between the s7-a7 I would go with the s7, but I can't say anything about the rs7 because I haven't gotten to drive the car.
