Thanks Mr Bally, there is no power to the 4 cable connector side, i was expecting that it would be "protected" by a fuse/relay, any idea on where in the car would the circuit breaker be? any help is much appreciated, Clive

So have you just got the car or had it for some time?

You mention that there is no fuse in position 44, is there contacts inside the slot in position 44?

I've owned the car for a year, the best car i've ever had and i've had plenty as new. The fuse position is not relevant as the fan was working before it "fried", the cables were welded together! this is why i think it must be some other form of relay, i understand they are found behind the dash under the steering wheel, i dont want to take it apart without having some knowledge, thanks again for you advice, Clive

I understand you think the fuse position might be not relevant but you don't you don't know what the previous owners have had done, I would love to have done more investigation for you but I travel to Norway in the morning so can't look deeper until I get back.

Hope you find a solution and I will be sure to keep an eye on your progress.
