Default Bluetooth Module Location?

I have a few of questions:

I hear its under the carpet on drivers side, but where exactly?

Isn't the carpet glued down?

Is this a DIY job to replace module or is dealership recommended?

Thank in advance.

Move your seat all the way back, unscrew one screw from the third pedal and remove it, remove sill trim and lift the carpet. Module is in the black rubbery box.

Mishar

Thank you for the quick response. Is third pedal same as "dead pedal" to the left of brake pedal? (U.S. model)

So is the carpet glued down or the trim the only thing holding it taut to the floor.

1 - Unbolt the drivers seat. it doesn't need to be removed completely, just tilted back out the way (put the backrest forward and lift the seat base up to max for best clearance), you may need to wind the seat forward and back to access the bolts (T50).

2 - Remove the plastic trim along the kick plate next to the door. This just lifts up then pulls up and towards the back of the car.

3 - Unclip the seat power cable from the guide at the bottom of the seat.

4 - Pull the carpet forward from the air vent under the seat a bit, it's split at that point already, being careful not to strain the power feed for the chair which goes through a hole in the carpet about 6 inches in front of the split. Then lift the carpet from the door side.

5 - Unclip the seat power from the holder under the carpet and push the carpet back towards the central column (using the seat rails to hold it out the way).

Carpet is newer glued down in any car. A8 has a bunch of electronics under the carpet.

This is too extensive and RHD dedicated. There is no need to dismount seat and fiddle with cables.

No need to remove the seat (and on RHD it is easier as there are no pedals in the way of the carpet pull back)

I'm starting to get the picture. Is the module itself under the seat, or is it closer to the pedals?

I'm trying to determine if I'm puling back carpet away from the dash (or) away from the drivers seat. (U.S. Model)
