Default Cabin Lighting - LEDs

Can anyone recommend a LED replacement for the overhead cabin (dome) light bulbs? I have a 2006 and when the overhead lights are dim, the color is very yellow and it is starting to annoy me.

No, they will flutter when dimming down or set to dim.

Yes, you are correct. The proper way to dim LEDs is to pulse width modulate them. Varying the voltage yields unpredictable results.

Honestly I just bought a pack of 10 on ebay for like $3.99. Plug and play no problem in the front, rear, and rear map lights. The front map lights in the mirror are a pain to change and not worth my time. True there is some fluttering on shut down, but nothing terrible. Only thing I notice is that they trick the self-darkening feature in the rear view mirror. Makes the whole car seem like a new experience all over again.

I replaced mine with LEDs also. I bought a pack of 10 off amazon which I got the link off this board. Really simple and look great. I didn't do map lights yet, they do look like a real PIA to change.

I also changed all my lights to LED with great results. I bought a kit off ebay but the cheaper ones work just as well. I was going to do the ones in the rear view mirror but I will have to redo all of them with my future A8.

I saw a 12-piece kit (for front map/dome, rear map/dome and under-door lights) relatively cheap, off Amazon. I plan to get these.

So none of you are having flickering issues?

No flickering except when at lower point of almost shutting off. I have not tried driving in "city" mode where the interior lighting can be adjusted for ambiance. I do know that in my friend's VW CC he has flickering issues, and that is when fully powered.
