It could also be that a module just didn't initialize correctly. I would disconnect the battery, touch the battery cables together to remove any residual charge, wait 5 minutes, then reconnect the battery.

been reading a lot about dangers of disconnecting battery.
seems things do have to relearn and can take up to 100 miles to do so is various driving conditions. I have not done this many miles yet

Things do relearn, particularly fuel and air systems and gearbox.

However they are never going to relearn properly with existing issues still unresolved.

Did you notice my post with all the manuals for download, i recommend you save them and get acquainted.

I just tried again, and it works on my PC, when clicked it starts a download, not open a web page

If it doesn't work for you then perhaps the hosting forum requires you register

Im thinking that when I disconnected the battery it of course wiped the ecu which previously had made adjustments to the TB to compensate for possible vacuum leaks , carbon buildup or a dirty/bad maf sensor.

otherwise it's just too coincidental that the herky-jerky driving came along only after I reconnected battery.
I did readapt the TB after the battery was disconnected but that didnt seem to help.
Now some have suggested torque converter failing, or atf low--which yes are possible causes.
but i'm thinking first point to start is whole air intake, maf, idle control valve, plugs and coils...

Quick Reply: disconnect battery overnight--now variant rpm...
