Default need abs wiring help for 05 A8L

My 05 W12 is having ABS issues. It has a fault code for a left rear ABS sensor. Installed new AUDI sensor. The fault did not go away.

Had the car checked out and was told the ABS module was bad.

I replaced that myself - which was actually easy. After recoding module and steering angle sensor, I still get the same code for left rear ABS sensor fault.

To me, that means I have a short in the wiring somewhere.

I was looking for help in locating the correct wires at the ABS module that are for the left rear ABS sensor.

Pin 29 and 13 of the ABS module to pin 1 on the sensor, brown wires, pin 29 and 14 to the pin 2 on the sensor, black wires.

Have you replaced wheel bearing recently?

No work on or near the wheel bearing before, during or after this issue started in March.

Should there be 2 wires or 4 wires at the sensor at the wheel?

Should there be 2 wires at the sensor at the wheel and somewhere after that it becomes 4 wires?

Wiring diagram says 4 wires at the sensor.

okay, thanks.

I had already looked a few times at the wiring, but I was looking for an obvious break or damage. It would seem that is not the case with this issue.

How do you think I should go about finding out where the break might be?

If it is a break it is most likely pin in a harness. Use some DeoxIT to clean and enhance contacts.

Deoxit D5S. shows to be available at Radio Shack. I will try it.

The Deoxit did not work for me. The connector at the ABS sensor was perfect already. No green corrosion at all, nothing but the gold plated connectors. I did spray that connector anyways. The connector at the ABS module looked the same. No corrosion or anything that looked like a problem. I sprayed it as well.

I guess it will come down to the dealer to fix this issue.

I am comfortable dealing with the mechanical repairs on the car, but not the electrical.

Then again if I had the correct kinds of electrical diagnostic tools for testing wiring would help.

What are your thoughts on how I go about checking the wiring?
