Love it or hate it, it is what it is.

The 19 year old in me wants more silly mode. The 29 year old me wants to know what it sounds like on long drives (droning?)

No drone on the highway at all. Thats what I was afraid of when i first removed the resonators, but even with the flaps pinned open in the mufflers its just noticeable if your not playing music. Taking off from stoplights with the flaps pinned open sounds similar to the way the car sounds on cold mornings before the flaps close and the engine settles. I have driven thousands of miles with it pinned open and with the car controlling the flaps. I prefer it with the car controlling them since I notice the low end torque loss with it open and its a more "civil". lol

I may be mistaken, but that sounds like a V8? I wasn't aware that the 4.2 V8 had an active exhaust system? Thought it was only the S8?

I'm very sure that is the note of a V10.

Interesting, to me that first sound clip in particular has that lopey V8 burble to it. Not the hard edged wail normally associated with a V10.

Its a V10. I used a stereo mic covered with a fur wind breaker taped to the bumper.

Default Any pics?

Was wondering if you had any pics of what you had done?

Been thinking about doing something to mine but not sure yet.

Just a before shot i found. Arrows point to the 4 resonators. They were cut out and just replaced with muffler tubing welded in place.

Sounds fantastic. Any interior clips accelerating or cruising?
