And that's exactly what it's for. I saw a photo from some Audi press materials that showed a business man in the back seat with his jacket hung from that hook.

Really? There's another called out in the manual as a coat hook, about 10 inches away... On the ceiling!

And yes, there is one on both sides.

The one 10 inches away is for clothes on a hanger. The one in the picture is for someone sitting in the backseat to hang their jacket from.

Okay- I will take you guys at your word on that. Seems a tad excessive! I'd rather have some sort of privacy screen there like the rear and side sunshades. It would make taking naps at work easier....

One is the coat hook and the other is for use with a coat hanger.
