Dan - There is a Independent Audi/VW mechanic in SF, SD that may be able to help. He is highly regarded by members on Fred's TDI Club Forum.

So, I had the A8 L checked out; there were a couple logged faults:

- Auto Trans (049458 - Ride Level Control Module U0132 - 000 - No Communications - Intermittent)
- Acc/Start (00668 - Supply Voltage Terminal 30 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent)
- Acc/Start (01334 - Door Control Module; Rear Right (J389) 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent)
- Control Head (01310 - Level Control System Control Module (J197) 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent)
- Auto/HVAC (00066 - Rear Right Footwell Heater (Z43) 012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - Intermittent)
- Roof Electronics (02166 - Reference Signal for Front Windshield Temperature Signal 006 - Short to Plus - Intermittent)
- Battery Regulator (Quiescent Current Stage 1/2/3/4/5/6/7 - intermittent)

According to the tech, these are probably voltage related (vehicle has been parked for weeks). He cleared them and all seemed fine. The bushings on the UCA may also be due for replacement. With 76k on the ODO, optioned with 19in wheels, Alcantara, seat ventilation+massage, incl. Cold Weather Package, is this a good deal at 25+k ?
