Default Speakers sound blown out after battery re-connect

So, this evening I pull into my garage, notice the air compressor running, can't think of anything else to do but disconnect battery.

Obviously, air compressor stops running.

I go get a new relay, and replace the OEM air compressor relay.

Reconnect the battery, take it for a test spin, Everything is OK until I turn the radio on. Now it sounds like the speakers are blown out? Low frequencies are horrible! NPR is fine, but there is no base on public talk radio.....

Everything else sound like (b)***. pardon the pun.

Anyone else experience this?

Where did you get the relay from? Was it OEM? Is this the only part you swapped?

Does the problem you mention happens only with the radio, or also with the CD-changer?

I am thinking about some interferences...

Disconnect the battery, wait a minute or three and reconnect.

Seems to only effect the passenger lower door speaker as well.

So, after driving it all day I have decided not to touch anything else.

This morning, the blown out sound only happened once, for about 2-3 minutes, the rest of my one hour commute it acted as normal. On the commute home, no problems at all.

Does the factory amp have a reset period after battery disconnect?

The amp could be reset after turning the car off. If it is now working, just leave it alone.
