I really like the wood steering wheel and shifter **** my 05 A8L has. Does anyone know if it's compatible with other years? I mean to say that I'm (still) thinking about getting into a newer A8 or even S8 but I'd like to keep my steering wheel and shifter if possible. I haven't seen any others for sale that has that.
On a related note... Is there a way to determine all the options my car has by VIN? I'm the second owner and don't have the original invoice for my car. I'm curious to know exactly what she has.

Steering wheel with airbag is compatible with newer years.

Check the sticker next to the spear wheel for options.

That's good to know about my steering wheel, a salesman quoted me an extra $3,000 to buy and install the wood steering wheel on a 2010 A8L a few days ago.

I was able to look up most codes but wanted to ask if anyone has info on the following...

1. engine/trans code: BFM EYC HHV - I know BFM is my engine code I'm guessing EYC is the trans code, what's HHV?
2. Interior code: N5D/LA - N5D for leather... What's does LA represent
3. Type: 4E8 51L - what are these?
4. 5D2: carrier frequency 315 MHz - What's this? Sirius related, I'm guessing??
