Default vag-com. for rent?
I've seen a few A8's that I'm interested in. At the moment I don't really want to invest in one yet, when I haven't even bought the car. Do anyone know of anywhere that I can rent one from?

Never heard of anyone renting out VCDS. But if we knew your location someone might be able to help you out.

What would you do with the VCDS cable and software without an Audi to use it on?

You can always buy a new or used one and sell it on eBay when you're done. On the other hand, VCDS is a very useful tool and a good investment so you may want to keep it if you're planning on owning an Audi..
