I like my AMG, but I LOVE my S8!
I got a deal to trade an aged 2005 Scion Xb (clean nonetheless) for a 2006 Merc CLS55 AMG -- mint. Like perfect with only 24k legit miles on it. So I test drove it and liked it. Don't get me wrong, it's nice and in a straight line it can take the S8 easily. But, there's nothing like the short trip and long trip ride of a D3 S8. they get about the same gas mileage too -- 18 mixed.
The Impala is a blast. Just not in the rain.....or when it gets humid.....or too hot.

I had a 2007 Saab 9-3 Aero SportCombi before the S8.I loved it.It has never been in a shop except for a lock issue long time ago when it was almost new.The V6 turbo in that car is fantastic. The most reliable car I had.I wish I could keep it.My wife drives a 2011 Lincoln MKX , but I have to disagree with regards to that Ford Touch(Lincoln Touch)NAV/Entertainment unit built by Microsoft. When is it the last time you've seen a Microsoft product that works well? That system is the number one complaint about that car and the new model has moved away from it I read.(apparently Blackberry is going to provide the interface).Even though the one in the Audi is not a touch screen I find it much nicer.Amazing, I can even make voice calls with it which can be frustrating with the Ford.I used the record feature which is a very smart way of doing things in the Audi.
The Lincoln is a great car and very smooth,no complaints.Plenty of power too but the Audi has those intangibles.Once you've owned a German car sooner or later you have to do it again. Here I am again after a break of 5 years.

My dad's company cars always had voice control. He'd say, Casey, cut that **** out. And it happened.
But really I've never found any car voice control I really like. I just find it easier to click buttons.

Nice Rims
Where did you get the rims on your S8? Can you post a link or describe their details? I've been looking for replacements for mine and haven't seen those before.
